Alison Macpherson has been in the pharmaceutical clinical trials industry since 1988 where she began working as a Clinical Research Fellow on NIMH-funded grants at the Danielsen Institute at Boston University. Ms. Macpherson is the President and owner of Bright Pharmaceutical Services and Bright Media Services. She founded both companies in 2002 to focus on the needs of niche biotech and pharmaceutical research programs and to specialize in patient recruitment challenges. Bright Media has since expanded to become a full-service advertising agency. She was the co-founding President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Among scientific articles and abstracts, Ms. Macpherson was published in “From Inspiration to Realization”, volume II. Ms. Macpherson was elected to the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2001, to the Board of Trustees for Kultura, a community-based ethnic folk art non-profit organization in 2006 and to the Board of Diversity Alliance for Science in 2008. She resides in Sherman Oaks, California.
